Navigate to https://uff-uf.org/join and fill in the membership form that pops up.
NOTE: In the “Membership Agreement” section of the form, you will be asked to select a payment a schedule. The option you select depends on the length of your appointment.
- Select ACH-18 if you are on a 9-month appointment (do not work in the Summer).
- Select ACH-26 if you are on a 12-month appointment (work in the Summer).
- Select ACH-21 if you are P.K. Yonge faculty or on a 10-month appointment (rare).
After clicking “submit”, follow the below instructions.
Two methods described below are available to you for authorizing autodraft dues payments.
The easiest method is #1, which requires selecting your bank from a dropdown menu and logging into your bank account through the Plaid portal. It can be a little jarring to be asked to enter your bank username and password on a third-party website.
Rest assured that if you see your bank listed in the dropdown menu, then your bank has voluntarily partnered with the Plaid platform to make authorizing autodrafts and performing other financial tasks easier for you. In other words, logging into your bank account through the portal is no different than using your ATM card at a different bank’s ATM.
However, if you want to avoid entering your bank username and platform, then you can opt for method #2.
METHOD 1
STEP 1: Click on the button on the bottom of the page that says “set up now”. (picture 1-1)
STEP 2: A menu listing banks will pop up. Search for your bank using the search bar at the top of the menu (you may also scroll the menu until you find your bank) and click on the bank name. (picture 1-2)
STEP 3: Click “continue” on the page that pops up and enter your bank account username and password. Then, follow all instructions that appear (these may vary depending on your bank). (picture 1-3)
STEP 4: You will know you have successfully enrolled if you see a green box at the bottom of your portal page that says “You are all set! It looks like your payment method is good to go.” (picture 1-4)

METHOD 2
STEP 1: Click on the button on the bottom of the page that says “set up now”. (picture 2-1)
STEP 2: A menu listing banks will pop up. Scroll to the very bottom and select “Link with account numbers”. (picture 2-2)
STEP 3: Click “continue” on the page that pops up and input your checking account number and your bank’s routing number. (picture 2-3)
STEP 4: You wait one business day. Then, you go through your checking transactions to find a deposit of $0.01. View the details of that transaction to find a 3-letter or 3-digit code. (picture 2-4)
STEP 5: Finally, you log in to your portal account one more time and enter the 3-digit or 3-letter code by clicking the “VERIFY NOW” button. (picture 2-5)
You will know you have successfully enrolled if you see a green box at the bottom of your portal page that says “You are all set! It looks like your payment method is good to go.” (picture 2-6)
